COCOA BEACH MATERNITY PHOTOS

Amanda and Vince are my fellow neighbors! And you might recognize them from an earlier blog post when they participated in my Front Porch Pictures project earlier in 2020 raising money for the Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida.

Amanda and Vince were a family of three when we met, with one beautiful little daughter. But now their family is growing, and they are expecting a sweet baby boy in May 2021!

They love spending quality family time at the beach, so when it came time to pick out a theme for their maternity photo session, a nautical theme at the beach was an obvious choice.

This was my first photo session at the beach, and I was honestly a little nervous. Being in the complete open with high sun, no shade, and lots of other people in the background to evade, is normally a photographer‘s nightmare. But a once in a lifetime event like a maternity session is not one to go into afraid and just hoping for the best.

So I took that fear head on and took a trip to the beach a few weeks earlier to practice at high noon, the hardest lighting scenario possible, with my husband as my model. We figured out all of the perfect camera settings, angles and poses to nip all of those fears in the bud so I could just have fun, feel confident and be creative to get all of the beautiful photos you can find below!

I learned so much from this session, and I was so honored to capture this very special time in Amanda and Vince’s life. I can't wait to meet baby Sean!
